Q1 – Who is I-Choice?
A1 – I-Choice is a collection of pregnancy medical clinics serving the Greater Spokane geographic area. I-Choice is one of many services offered by Life Services of Spokane, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization started in 1991. Life Services comes alongside women and men who are facing unplanned pregnancies, offering the practical, logistical, emotional and spiritual support needed for each unique situation.
Q2 – Is I-Choice a Christian organization?
A2 – Yes, our faith motivates our work. We offer these services because we are deeply committed to Jesus’ directive to “love our neighbors as ourselves.” If we were in your shoes (and many of us have been) we would want someone to talk with about our situation. All our services are available to you regardless of your religious beliefs or practices. More than anything we want you to know you are not alone, we are on your side and here to listen and help.
Q3 – If I-Choice is a Christian organization, does it believe in a women’s right to choose?
A3 – Our decision to call our pregnancy medical clinics “I-Choice” is about helping women and men make “informed choices.” If you discover you are pregnant you have a choice to make. Our I-Choice medical clinics will provide you with information, resources, and advocacy on those choices. We work to create a non-judgmental environment where you can talk through your situation, giving you the time, space, and support needed so you can decide what’s best for your unique situation. Although I-Choice does not perform or refer for abortions, we’ll listen and help you think it through.
Q4 – Is I-Choice a medical clinic?
A4 – While we have a limited scope of practice, we are a medical clinic. All medical care is provided by state licensed medical professionals under the direction of a medical doctor. We encourage all patients to establish ongoing prenatal medical care with an OB/GYN doctor. In all cases, if you are experiencing a medical emergency call 911 for assistance.
Q5 — How can you offer your services for free?
A5 — I-Choice is able to operate, and provide most services for free, due to the generous support of the Spokane community. If you would make a tax-deductible donation to support the ongoing efforts of I-Choice you can Donate Online here.
